HP just refreshed the dv7tqe..
Old model number: LM726AV
New model number: QJ892AV
It's slightly cheaper and now comes with the i7-2670QM standard as compared to the i7-2630QM that the older model came with.
That's all I know..
Edit: Price of the Bluetooth upgrade changed from $25 to $15. There is no longer a discount on batteries. Still overall cheaper.
Edit 2: HP brought back the lower-end 6490m and also the higher-end 2GB 6770m.
Edit 3: HP changed their HD choices a bit, nothing important, though. At all.

Toshiba is a crap brand of Hard Drives, lots of failures
-
they should definitely have an amd 17 inch >.<
-
That is a nice processor bump ... unless they replace the 2[78]20 -> 2[78]60, the processor ($$) upgrades aren't worth it. The 2670 is 97% of the 2720.

The Anti-glare 1920x1080 display option has replaced by a BrightView Infinity 1920x1080 display option.

OP, I updated the thread's title because the dv6t Quad Edition has also undergone a refresh similar to the dv7t Quad Edition (the only exception being that the upgrade to Infinity 1920x1080 is only for the dv7t and not for the dv6t). Thanks for pointing out some of the new info.
Just for completeness, here are the dv6t Quad Edition model numbers before and after:
Old model number is: LM720AV
New model number: A2Z57AV
And also - the new generational product names for this particular refresh are as follows:
- HP Pavilion dv6t-6b00 Entertainment Notebook Series
- HP Pavilion dv7t-6b00 Entertainment Notebook Series
Not sure why they went with 6b00 instead of 6200
. The last two digits may change depending on pre-customized configurations.

No problem! I've been watching the HP dv7tqe for a while now, looking to buy, and noticed the change right when it happened. Glad I could inform some people.
Any difference between the screens? Or just a name change? -
The Infinity display option creates a seamless transition from the frame to the screen by adding a glass overlay -- at least that's how it was done in the previous generations.
I remember hearing about notebooks from back then having small specks of dust that got stuck in between the overlay and actual screen though. -
That's totally true, mine developed 96 bad sectors after only 28 days of HDD. use. currently, it is stable but that is the worst HDD. I ever used.
HP refreshed the dv6tqe and dv7tqe (6bXX series)
