    Hi,

I just returned my dv1000 and am looking to buy a dv2000. When I configured a dv2000t on hp's website, the remote control option is now 18.99 vs 14.99 for the dv1000, yet they look exactly the same. Will the remote that came with the dv1000 fit into the card slot of the dv2000?

    Thanks

I think the remote for the dv2000 fits inside the Expresscard slot and the one for the dv1000 fits in the regular PC Card slot. Other than this difference there shouldnt be any issues with using the PC Card remote with the dv2000t.

I'm pretty sure it's called "HP Remote Control Express Card."

    Hope that helps.

    hmm,

When I ordered the dv1000, I also added the remote as an option and it looked exactly like the one on the right. So I am assuming the dv2000 remote should be exactly the same thing. It sucks that HP is now charging more for the EXACT SAME remote when ordering it along with a dv2000 vs a dv1000.

    Thanks for the responses
