HP has the absolute worse customer service ever!
Okay first I place my order, its declined for no reason. Then I place it with my paypal balance (cash!) and its still declined. the catch this time is that the payment, even after they have told me its declinded/cancelled, is still "on hold" and "pending".
I use the chat first, and the person says they cant help me, and *clicks off* on me and ends the chat. Then I call the hotline and get redirected twice. Right now I'm talking to this guy who keeps telling me I have to call the hotline....wait a minute, thats how im talking to him, right? He can barely understand basic english, I had to spell out my last name 6 times and my phone number maybe 8 times.
"2 7 0 8 4..."
and the guy replies with
"that was 8 7 2 4..."
WHAT THE HELL!?
so then after going back and forth with this tool for a while, the entire time me saying i want a refund and him saying "we can re-place that order" (a whole new level of disconnect!) i get transferred to America....thank god
so then I talk to one guy and hes a nice guy, wow. all in all he says he's going to transfer me to the resolution team and they will release the funds, yadda yadda. alright, some progress!
so then I talk to this total biyatch. shes giving me sass, saying the money has been refunded (and im on my paypal account at the same time, and it still says they have my money). This woman has got to be the rudest customer support agent ive ever dealt with in my life. I'm a pretty patient guy and will usually allow the agent to do their job, if you're nice they usually reciprocate but this wasnt the case. She was cutting me off when I was talking, trying to get the last word in, etc.
"I want to speak to the supervisor please"
"Sir, I am the supervisor"
"....wow...they really set the bar low"
So right now HP says the money is refunded, Paypal (I'm on the phone with right now) says HP still has the money.
I'm livid. I'm never buying another HP product again in my life. Abysmal support, lying, theft. Yeah, thats enough to get me to swear off a company. Loyal customer of their laptops for years but guess its off to another brand, because their treatment of myself and my money has been disgusting.

so sorry to hear about this but i can definitely confirm that talking to their support is like talking to a wall with vocal cords. this is what happens when they outsourse important jobs - and i mean important as in interfacing with the CUSTOMER - the people that make that company money.....
i dont know why a company would do such a thing. I think the support would have been better if it had been fwd'd to someone here in the US. i say this because then you know there wont be a language barrier or breakup of their VOIP lines while trying to complete a simple transaction.
hp cut cost outsourcing their support but as a result they're losing customers. totally worth it, right hp?
i had beef with them recently as well.
they told me they were going to refund me $250, so i said do it. they said it would happen after i recieve my laptop. fine. i asked for an email stating that, and they said they couldn't provide one. then i asked for the dudes name / extension and he said that he didnt have an extension!
so i told him straight up - how the hell do you expect me to believe what you're saying without you providing me with proof? and the person kept saying 'i assure you sir' etc etc. i was sooo f* pi$$'d off. -
What makes matters worse is the fact that they use a low bandwidth VOIP. With the money HP is making, you'd think they'd invest in a better VOIP system so you can clearly hear to decipher the wonderful and exotic Indian accent.

i had similar issue when i bought order dv5t on 10th... now i'm really satisfied with hp, but i had to call hp, too because my order was declined, too.
this hp guy(guess indian) called me with the accent that i could not really understand saying that they need some additional info. about my order.
since i was working i could not call them and when i tried to, their office hour was over,,, so i planned on calling next day, but when i checked on internet, they saying that my order was declined... i had to call 3 times cuz they keep saying "call this number and blah..." but if you can become patient during that moment u gonna get nice *** product lol.. anyway good luck.. -
Yeah....
HP has been enjoying its rising stock price for the last few days after it announced its sales increased as a result of high demand in Europe and Asia, beating analysts' estimates.
They should invest some of their moeny in those areas...
It was really difficult to hear what the representatives that I talked to were saying (not because of their English but because of the low quality of the sound) -
You just have to know the right people. ::Wink wink::
-
the indians at least had "politeness protocol" to follow, this woman wasn't following the book at all. -
Sorry for your situation.
You'll have better experience if you deal with the business-line customer support. -
