Hey everyone I've been surfing the net for a while trying to find a solution to my problem and can't seem to find an answer.

I just bought a new hp tx1000 just a few days ago and everything was working fine, but today the screen will not auto orient when I flip the monitor around. The rotate screen button also does not work. I can't recall what exactly I uninstalled but I'm pretty sure I uninstalled something important. I also changed some of the start up aps, but I turned them all back on and still the rotate screen button does not work.

If anyone could help me I would really appreciate it.

    A few System specs:
    OS: Vista Home premium
    Model: HP tx1000 Notebook PC
    Display: NVIDIA GeForce Go 6150

try reinstalling the HP quick launch buttons(version 6.40D or above) software...that's what controls the buttons on the screen. Also, the screen doesn't auto rotate but will only rotate 180 degrees when you switch from notebook to tablet mode.

ok thanks. I thought it would rotate 90 degrees when put converted to tablet. Also currently, when I convert it ot tablet mode, it does not rotate at all. So hopefully the quick launch will help.

    Thanks again.
