Hi, first time poster. I bought a HP dv2120us last week at Staples after going through a succession of Averatec 2370s. I liked the Averatec's small form factor, but they were unstable in many ways.
I like my HP dv2120us, but the battery life sucks (less than 2 hours on max battery setting with wi-fi on) and I'd like a bit smaller form factor. I noticed with relish and drooling the new HP tx1000 will be available soon (Feb 28, I think). That has the right form factor for me, and a larger cell battery won't lift up the laptop as I noticed the larger cell battery would for the dv2120us.
My question is: Will Staples carry it? I've sent them an inquiry, but I thought maybe someone here has heard a rumor or knows positively one way or the other. If so, I need to return my dv2120us this weekend (it's still within the 14 day period).
Thanks for your help!
David

Well there is a review about the TX1000 on the frontpage. It is a wonderful system, looks beautiful. The 4 cell battery has 2.5-3 hours of battery life and the 6-cell (that sticks out a bit) has 4-4.5 hours of battery life.

I don't know of any specific details about when Staples will get these but the tx1000 should be available since HP has always offered retail B&M versions of all their consumer notebooks.

Welcome to the forums! HP mentioned to us it will be at Best Buy, but they didn't specifically say Staples. I would imagine eventually, yes, but whether it will be Feb. 28th? Hmm, I don't know about that.
