hi!
i got this HP tx2-1020us Tablet PC AMD Turion. 2 weeks ago suddenly it got this problem:
when turning on the power button, i see LEDs on keyboard and around (but not the HHD led), no activities at all. the LCD is totally black/blank. nothing ever appeared on the LCD. so, is the tablet dead?
thanks

try removing the battery and putting it back in. exact thing happened on my dv6000 and it worked for me.

do a hard reset. Get rid of static electricity. take the battery out, hold the power button down for like 30 seconds, then try again. I've owned like 20 HPs, and at one point or another, they have all done that at least once to me and this solution has never failed!
Unless of course your laptop truly is dead...but try this first then let us know. -
the same thing happened to my tx1000 laptop
but it started when i was browsing n suddenly the screen is scrambled
check with service center with the verdict the mainboard is dead
by the way, is there any thread for HP tablet owner?
i want to ask bout the heat of this laptop that is very high -
forum.tabletpcreview.com
the sister-site of this place should have all tablet related info
and yes, i have a tx2500z and its internals are almost the same as the tx2 and heat is really a problem with these things, at factory defaults, you can easily go to 90-95 degrees C on full load.
you should consider undervolting your unit, there are instructions on this forum i think or for the tx tablets specifically in the tablet forum.
