    I just purchase a new hp tx2500z.
    * Genuine Windows Vista Home Premium (64-bit)
    * AMD Turion (TM) X2 Dual-Core Mobile Processor RM-70 2X2.0 GHz

    * 12.1" WXGA High-Definition HP BrightView Widescreen Display(1280 x 800) with Integrated Touch-screen
    * 2GB DDR2 System Memory (2 Dimm)
    * ATI Radeon(TM) HD 3200 Graphics
    * HP Imprint Finish (Echo) + Fingerprint Reader + WebCam + Microphone
    * 802.11b/g WLAN
    * 160GB 5400RPM SATA Hard Drive
    * SuperMulti 8X DVD+/-R/RW with Double Layer Support
    * 6 Cell Lithium Ion Battery
    * Microsoft(R) Works 9.0

    I going to upgrade the ram to 4GB and maybe get a 2.2Ghz Turion later.

    I have one question though. Should I get a screen protector?
    If I do get one: Is it going to be possible to take it off if I don't want it anymore? Will there be goo on the screen if I take it off? Will a screen protector affect the accuracy of the touchscreen?

    Thanks IA

    Screen protectors use a residue-less type of glue so there should not be any problem if you want to get rid of it later one or just change it because it's old and scratched....

    I don't have one on mine, and this is my third HP tablet and none of them had it, and so far no scratches of any kind... I do keep mine fairly clean, so that might help, but the screen seems pretty durable. For more info on screen protectors though, check out www.tabletpcreview.com , lots of great discussion on the TX2500 over there.

    Enjoy your new Tablet, I love mine!
