We need to get a review for the HP 6930 at NBR! I hope someone can get a good comparison against the Dell Latitude E/Precision M and Lenovo T/W series.
-
-
Yeah right.
-
If the Dell Latitude can do 19 hours, I'm sure with very conservative use, the HP will be able to at least reach that.
-
Now, if only HP can make a laptop that doesn't break down in 24h.
JK, frustrated with my computer atm. -
anything on price?
-
The HP 6930p has been out for some time now and that battery life is exaggerated.
Now for those that don't know, we are talking about the main 6 cell battery + an additional 12 cell battery attached to the bottom, LED backlit screen, IGP and idling.
Btw, this below is the huge 12 cell "travel" battery which HP has offered for ages.
-
Yeah but that's the same as Dell's figure. Besides at least 95% of the time, your computer is on idle anyways.
-
No, it's not the same, the 19 hours that Dell claims are with a 9 cell main battery and a 12-cell battery slice, which is achievable under light usage.
HP doesn't offer a 9 cell main battery, and tends to exaggerate quite a bit. -
idle means just let it sit there and do nothing, if you use for Word and surfing the web, then that's another story.
-
Do you know if this will work with the dv9700 series, and if so, do you have a part number?
-
I am using a 8510w and the battery life is horrible. Wish HP had a decent management program that monitored and adjusted accordingly.
JIW -
What do you mean horrible? I can get almost 4 hours on my HP 8710w.
-
They are only for business notebooks that have the bottom docking connector, and will not work on your laptop.
HP w/ 24 hours of battery life!
