My HP built in notebook webcam was at 640 x 480 resolution normally, but all of a sudden, it changed ti 176 x 144!!!

does anyone know how the heck this could have been possible??? not to mention that the quality is very very Low

and i don't see any way to change it!!

maybe i can reinstall the drivers for hp webcam but i find no specific one for my model anywhere!

    help?!

Things just happen. You can find the options to get it back to 640x480 in YouCam.

What he is suggesting is that use youcam, assuming you already have it installed. The last two hp's I had had youcam loaded on them, and you could change the resolution within the program.

Edit: What model HP do you have?

I'm guessing he's using a TouchSmart if he has the MediaSmart software installed... (Correct me if I'm wrong). I use ManyCam and it's great.

    i will try manycam, thanks!

but in Youcam, only 176 x 144 had been showed as a resolution.

after updating bios, it worked again, showing 640 x 480 but now it's changed, again!..

btw i'm not using a touchsmart and i have dv6-2044ca HP pavillion
