I'm using my HP notebook right now, and so far so good.

But now, I'm connecting to my wireless network (it's set up at my house).

The icon in the taskbar says that it's disconnected. When i roll over it, it says 'server execution failed'.

However, I am connected to the internet and I can do anything, but it's just weird that it doesn't look like it's connected.

When i go to "network and sharing" in the control panel, the window freezes?

    it's really weird..

HP has identified a hardware issue (motherboard, wireless module) with certain HP Pavilion dv6000, HP Pavilion dv9000 and Compaq Presario V6000 series notebook PCs.

    Affected models are:

    Pavilion

dv6000 series with model numbers between dv60xx and dv63xx.

I actually fixed this on my laptop and desktop awhile back. I found the fix on an AIM website. It seems the 'old' build of AIM6.5 caused this. You'll notice you can't look at your network stuff either with it...I'm trying to find the fix...I printed it out somewhere...

    EDIT:

    Try this...

Exclamation Vista giving you a Server Execution Failed?
