has anybody had problems with their touchpad wearing out on their zv6000? I've had mine for about 5-6 months, and already, the texture is becoming worn out, making it look "shiny". I rarely even use it, I use a seperate mouse. I hear this is a common problem among textured touchpads.

I have a zv6000 and have not noticed this issue. However, I do very rarely use it and mostly use a mouse. I have heard of this issue but have not experienced it.

Yea over time the surface will wear. Hp/Compaq computers are decent but they have cheaper componenets so wear occurs sooner than other brands.

This is a general problem with all laptops. Unfortunately, it's not as easy to replace as the keyboard.
