Yep...these are hard to compete with:

    Hpshopping benefits:

-No hassle returns within 30days of ordering, for ANY reason, free Fedex pickup @ home shipped back to HP
-30 days price guarantee, if ANY sudden discount or promotion lowers the price of your config. they will refund the difference immediately (doesn't apply to new mail-in rebates, of course)

    PLUS...

    $200 instant savings
Free upgrade from 256 to 512 memory (2-256 Sodimms)
Free upgrade from Widescreen to Widescreen w/Brightview
    Free shipping
No sales tax (May not apply to all shoppers*)
And the usual $50 Mfr. rebate that all retailers have
Student discount of an avg. of 6% (off the price BEFORE all discounts/promotions/instantsavings)

There are some benefits, but you pay more for them. The Office Depot / Tech Depot deal with the $50 MIR and $150 MIR, plus half off upgrades, is still the cheapest way to get the zv6000 by far - except for the $999.99 AR Costco configuration which was pretty close.

The OD and Costco deal were nice, but that was then. Now the HPShopping is a good deal.
