Does anyone know if the $49 Office 2007 for customized notebooks actually includes the retail DVD w/ license for 3 different computers? Or is it just an OEM copy that works for only 1 computer?

i think the latter is the case. it should be analogous to configuring a version of windows. you dont get the dvd for windows, so why would you get the dvd for office?

    Thanks Infamous, :D

Hopefully HP isn't so brutal as to having that phrase mean "single license OEM copy on disc"

Well, that key will still work on multiple computers. I've done it before with 2003.

    Update:

I called HP, spoke to sales rep before I ordered my notebook + MS Office, she told me it was a license that would work for 3 computers.

1.5 weeks later... received my notebook today. The DVD included is an OEM copy. The license is OEM--- I called Microsoft and they told me that the key HP gave me would only work for one computer. :(

Then they lied to you. Call HP and demand a refund.

Isn't that considered fraud or false advertising?
