Unless I'm missing something here, HP's now offering a dv2500t Broadband Wireless Edition on their website. Here's the difference: the 8400m GS and wireless N + Bluetooth come standard, everything else is the same as the dv2500t. Except for one thing: it costs $300 more than a similarly configured dv2500t. Here's the links:

Like I said, unless I'm missing something, or this new laptop comes with 3 Benjamins in the box - is HP trying to deliberately trick its customers? I mean, I understand that the dv6500tse has a special paint-job for an extra $100, but this is the exact same laptop!
Before you go on about me bashing HP for nothing, realize that most of the time, I defend the company for its practices. This time, it's just weird.
Edit: Sorry, links fixed.

Your links don't work.

I believe the dv2500t Broadband Wireless series you cite above also offers an integrated WWAN card to connect to Verizon's or AT&T's broadband wireless network.
-
The -key- difference:
"Broadband Wireless Standard integrated HP Broadband Wireless supported
by Verizon BroadbandAccess service "
Whereas on the Non bw version, you get an external pc card 'option', it's integrateD WWAN on the tbw.
Hope this helps.

Good catch. Now to debate whether a Verizon card is worth $300...

Well, integrated WWAN plus, the other items that you identified earlier: (1) the 8400M GS, (2) integrated wireless A/B/G/N, and (3) Bluetooth. I think the 8400M GS is approximately $80 if you configure the laptop from the base dv2500t offering. The A/B/G/N and Bluetooth are probably another combined $70 or so.
