Not trying to rant or anything but wondering what I should do or if HP will offer anything.

When my initial laptop came in the mail, the screen had a distortion issue and I had to send it back. This was the 1920x1080 screen.

I get the laptop back today in the mail and I think to myself sick the screen is flawless and they replaced it and the laptop looks brilliant. So I want to bump the resolution up to 1920x1080 to play some League of Legends and god damned the highest I can set it to is 1366x768 in the desktop resolution selector. Realized the screen isn't anti-glare either -_-.

So I'm pissed and so are my parents ha. What do you think HP will do about this?

They'll replace it again. You could return it and take your money elsewhere.

Been there, done that! My last notebook had to have the panel replaced twice, once under the initial warranty and once under HP's 3yr extended plan. Both times they returned it with the standard lower resolution panel. The first time I asked for compensation for the screw up from the tech rep and received both a battery and a second ac adapter. The last time, considering it was the second such incident, I was escalated to the HQ's customer relations group and received another battery for my trouble.

Both times I stressed the loss of use of the notebook during the second "repair" and the general inconvenience to me and asked what they were going to do to compensate me for such a negligent mistake. Both times, they asked what I thought was fair compensation and I was quick to make a suggestion, noting that their cost for such items was significantly less than their retail price.

Can't hurt to ask. Good luck!

HP customer service is very nice. The price I paid for my DV6 can attest to that because when it was delayed twice they took off nearly $250 dollars because I called then and told then that I needed to use my laptop so I wanted compensation for the delays. If a rep doesn't go for it try again. The reps chatting live can also help. Explain that not only have you not been able to use it, but shipping and waiting are too much of a hassle, and you expect HP's service to be as good as they claim.
    It works! :D
