I've bought 3 laptops from the refurb site:
    nc6400
    6715b
    2510p

All came in a standard HP box but had a sticker that had "refurbished" on the outside. Opening the box, all the laptops that i bought looked brand new without scratches or any noticeable use. The only thing that told me it was refurb was that the S/N sticker had "refurbished" written on there.

The batteries, though weren't the newest. I think of the 3, the average age of the battery were made 6 mo's before i bought the machines.

The only thing is that you can't order online... you had to talk with their reps on the phone, but they were nice and friendly. When i talked to the guy when purchasing my 2510p, he gave me the 3 year warranty for 50 extra dollars.
