    Sweet, I heard about these batteries before, good to hear its just around the corner! definitely looking to invest in one of these. :D Hope they will have one that fits my 8510p!

    Hmm. My dv5z 6-cell battery says 10.8V / 55Wh. So 80% means it can recharge 44Wh in 30 minutes. That would be a rate equal 88Wh in 1 hour, giving a charge current of 8.15A. The power supply I have right now is only rated for 5A max output. I'd still love to get a battery pack that actually lasts for 3 years, but it obviously won't charge faster than the laptop was designed for...
