HP's upgrade program is full of bull

The response I got from a PM and HP themselves were "Check your order status"

If I knew the reason why there is a delay, then I wouldn't be asking them ffs lol.

 

You should have received an email that notified you of an approximate ship date (mine is between nov 12-26, i ordered in august), but it will not show on your order status page

Anyway, I think HP covered themselves pretty well by only saying that they will ship after the general launch of win7 and not giving exact dates

 

I have never gotten any emails from hp since the date of validation.

 

i got an email too, saying nov 12-26, il wait till then. and if nothing then bull ^^

 

I ordered my win7 upgrade on august 30 and have gotten a couple of emails from Arvato:

• August 30: Order confirmation.
• September 8: Purchase receipt for the dv7 approved.
• October 28: Apology for the delay because the driver dvd for my dv7 may require some more time to compile.
• November 5: The win7 dvd and the driver dvd has been shipped and should arrive by november 11, a tracking nr was also attached.

If all goes well i should have my win7 upgrade by wednesday next week.

 

If you have another copy for another computer, you can always upgrade first and then don't activate until you get the key from HP.
