Does anybody know how many times you have to send your laptop for repair for HP to authorize exchanging your laptop?

This is the second time that i have sent my laptop for repair. There's a constant sound distortion issue. Last time i sent in for repair, it was returned to me with an errant screw(HD screw) inside the laptop. It lodged itself in the fan and surprise surprise the fan failed. The laptop overheated and the bottom cover is now discolored.

I don't know if they will ever do that. I'm no expert, but from what I've read here about people sending laptops in, usually HP will just keep taking it and sending it back, up to a point where everything wrong is suddenly "user-related". Just a trend I've seen.

are u serious?? damn man... thats why i preferred Dell's customer service. Even though HP make better looking laptops, Dell got much much better customer service. Plus Dell has on-site repair technician.

Don't lose all hope though. I know my first post was a bit down, but always prepare for the worst with HP. If you talk to the right people and say the right things, I would say nothing is impossible.

They have on-site repair also, but I'm sure you pay an arm and leg for it.
