    HP8510 BIOS version question

    There seems to be a new 8510p BIOS version "F.13 A", dated 15 Aug 2008 on the HP driver download page (see attached image 1).

    However when I try to apply it using the flash utility, it comes up as "F.13" dated June, not F.13 A for August as written on the site. So it says my BIOS doesn't require the update (see image 2). Weird.

    Can someone else try the new one and see if it comes up as June or August?

    NOTE: This package provides an updated version of the HPQFlash Utility. The BIOS itself has not changed from the previous SoftPaq (sp39647). If you are already running BIOS version F.13, there is no need to re-flash the BIOS. NOTE: To determine the ROM revision and ROM date, press F10 on the target notebook during startup to run the Setup Utility, and then view File/System Information.
