This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    HPShopping.com ordering problems

    I recently tried to order a notebook from HPShopping.com, a couple of hours later I check my e-mail and received a message from HP telling me that they were unable to process my order. One person http://www.epinions.com/content_119862496900
    claimed that his order was rejected because HP didn't like his "non-standard" e-mail address (i.e. not an address from a large ISP like AOL/Earthlink/etc.). I also used a non-standard e-mail address and I'm wondering if it was the reason.
    Anyway, I'll try to place my order again with a different e-mail address, maybe I'll use a Hotmail.com or MSN.com this time but I have the feeling that it would be worse to use an address from a freemail provider.
    Has anyone ordered from HPShopping.com using a Hotmail e-mail address?

    I used my Hotmail address to order my zx5000 a couple weeks ago. Everything went smooth as butt-ahh!

    I used Msn email. ordered zt 3000 on the 5th and it shipped today. No problems[ :D]
