Hello Forum,
Few questions related to my hp dv6 laptop Hard disk Drive by the name HP_Tools.
1: I have format it, Was it fine.
2: Can I rename it to something else.
3: Should I leave it alone.
4: What is the purpose of this drive and what kind of data should it contains.

Do not rename/modify or delete this partition. It is more than likely only 100meg in size anyway. This partition contains the files for the diagnostics tools utilized when you hit the F2 key during boot.
If it annoys you that much, you can however, safely "hide" the partition using any of the popular third-party partition managing applications such as Arconis Disk Director or Paragon Partition Manager. -
diskpart can hide it (X=Drive letter)
Code:list volume select volume X remove letter X
