    Hey guys,

I'm gonna purchase an HP DV2500T laptop but I just want to know if you guys that purchased it already are happy with it. If you could let me know:
    - CPU performance
    - Gameplay
    - Feel/texture/ruggedness
    - Whether the screen looks grainy (heard it does)
    - Whether you have any issues or would have like it to be different in some way.

Thanks a lot for your help! :)

    i love it.
i have the t7300 processor its 2 ghz with 4 mb L2 cache and this thing flies. i have the 8400m gs video card i really dont game but i do rendering and work with cad so i wanted to make sure it would handle that. the laptop feels great there are no latches to hold the screen down but it feels very secure. nothing wobbles everythijns nice adn tight. the screen is beautiful i personally think this is the least grainy screen ive every seen when you look at images on it they really look great. i really havent had any issues the thing runs great fastest pc ive ever used. hope that helps ya if you want me to take a picture of anything your curious about just let me now.

thanks a lot man that's great to know. :)

I've also heard rumors about even though the specs say upgradeable only to 2 gb, that it can handle 4 as there is an option for vista ultimate on the HP site. Can anybody confirm this? And if anyone has done this is there a noticeable performance increase?

    Anyone else happy?

Also, is the touchpad hard to drag your finger across?

I have a DV2432CA and find the touchpad "sticky" to drag my finger across.

The trackpad takes a bit of getting used to. It gets a bit sticky in humid weather. Apart from that the laptop is pretty good. Had it for a month so far. No major gripes or issues. I'm just a bit bummed about the GigE. Some people say they have GigE while some (including me) just have the FastE. Not that I need GigE for any reason, but it would have been a nice-to-have.

I'm from thailand, so it's always humid. When I first started using the trackpad, my first impression was it's sticky and a alittle bit hard to use. But now i've gotten used to it and it works fine. the trick is not to apply as little pressure as possible (i don't know how to put that in a better phrase, but you get the idea). Besides that, the laptop sure is beautiful with all its entertainment suite.

Have any of you had difficulties with scrolling on your touchpad? I find the scrolling of web pages to be intermittent. It will "hop" out of scrolling and move my cursor around which is frustrating.

My 2 previous HP's dv1000 and v2000 had synaptics brand touchpads and I never had a problem.

I've had similar problems w/ scrolling on the touchpad, but I think it's due to the pointer's location. If the pointer is not over a scrollable area, then the touchpad will just move the pointer, rather than scroll.

You can now upgrade the DV2500 to 4gb of RAM on hpshopping.com and is recommended for those running Vista 64-bit. That wasn't an option when I bought my laptop, but I hope my DV2500 is capable of 4gb of RAM too?

So far, my dv2550 is pretty good, but the scroll on the touch pad is a bit of a pain. they should make these things with a wheel.
