I have a HP ZE5565QV lap top that I purchased in April of this year. I have not used it a great deal because I also have a desk top and I use the lap top when traveling.
When the hard drive disk is peforming a function, i.e., booting the machine, I hear a noise coming from it that can best be described as a 'clicking' sound. It is not real loud and I am sure the noise is from the hard disk, as I do not hear it at any other time. The computer has made this noise since I first started it when purchased and it seems to work well.
I am concerned that if there is something wrong with the hard drive I get it repaired prior to the warranty expiring.
Anyone operating a ZE5565QV? Do you get the same noise?
Thanks for any information offered.

A low volume clicking sound is normal during a read or write function from the disk drive.

Jack: Thank you for the info. I did not think the noise is a problem, but wanted some assistance and advice from those who have more lap top experience than I do. [

DaGreek: You are right. I have listened closer to my desk top and it does make the same sound during a read or write function.
Thanks!
