First, let me say that the dv2000t runs Vista beautifully. Aero glass looks amazing and almost everything worked with the upgrade. I only problem I came across was with the webcam and the omni directional microphone. Vista sees the webcam and lists it under imaging devices as usb 2.0 camera, but it will not recognize it anywhere else. I tried using the hp driver on the website and I've done some digging and found a sonix driver that was supposed to work, but did not. As for the microphone, no luck at all either (I believe this may be because the webcam isn't working though. I think they are connected). Has anyone else had these issues? Any solutions? Let me know if you need more info. Thanks in advance! :)

    - Intel(R) Core(TM) Duo processor T2400 (1.83 GHz)

I've got a dv2000z and Vista Ultimate works great...except I STILL have a problem with my logitech bluetooth mouse. :(

Haven't tried the webcam or mic yet, but I suppose now is as good a time as any.

The final version of Vista thats being released on January 31st has been available through business channels since November 2006.

I am currently running the final version of Vista Ultimate that is being released on January 31st on my laptop.

As for your hardware issues, HP should release new Vista Drivers for all their laptops On or after Feburary 1st.

How is you battery life compared to when it was with WinXP? Does the battery drain faster?

I myself don't see any much difference in the battery life of my dv2000t on Vista than I did with XP.

    Thank you for the info.
I'm also with HP DV2000T CTO and I was wondering did you get all the hardware to run under Vista? Any drivers issues?
I'm thinking of loading Vista any day now, but I still hesitate about it. I called HP yesterday to ask them if there will be updated for Vista drivers, and the guy on the other side could not give me specific info about whether there will be new drivers available soon on their web site, for download.

How about the camera and the mic, or the bluetooth? Do they work?

Everything on my dv2000t aside from my microphones work.

    Wireless, webcam, etc.

I am running RC1, so that may be one reason for the mics not working, but I rarely use them so it's not a problem for me right now.

I have DV2000t CTO, and upgraded to Vista Business. All drivers including webcam/mic/wifi work fine. Webcam is listed as USB2.0 webcam, but works OK except for the webcam folder from HP which doesnt bring up anything.

I have been unable to work with bluetooth, Vista cant find the device. I chatted with HP tech support, and the lady didnt seem very knowledgeable and just said Vista is too new and get back after a few days. I suppose HP will be releasing some driver updates soon, as they already have Vista related links in their support section but nothing's there yet for DV2000t.

Let's keep comparing notes and helping each other with whatever issues we find and resolve. Thanks all..
