    nvidia 9600m GT

I've looked in the bios (version f.16) but i couldn't find anything.

the P7350 does support virtualization as most do nowadays. Page 8 of the tech doc available here proves it: http://download.intel.com/design/mobile/datashts/32012001.pdf

Most likely HP does not enable it in the bios, it seems on many consumer laptops this feature is disabled and can't be changed.

My HP 2510p has it available but it is a HP Business Laptop.

I'd look for a bios update and/or call HP and ask.

IIRC, my dv4z has a BIOS option to enable virtualization. It's disabled by default.

The P7350 does not support Intel VT that is why the option to enable it isn't there in the Bios. Based on my searching that processor was originally labeled as supporting Intel VT however it turns out it was a misprint on Intel's part and the page for it has since been corrected.

Yeah I almost fell for getting that processor but it actually does not support VT. :( As above it was a mistake on Intel's part that they have basically conveniently ignored.

Nice, and then my boss wonders why I never read Intel's documentation...

basically Intel screwed those of us who bought the P7350.

I bought it back in November, because at the time it was the cheapest 45nm core 2 that had hardware virtualization, which it turned out was a complete screw job by Intel, because after a couple people started questioning it on the Intel tech forums, they corrected the intel page to say otherwise.
