when i go to the download page for hp and dv5t...there is a bios update that came on the 8/26...so i am assuming it just came out

    i did it
    I have varying results
the first notebook i had, it made my CPU change from 2.0 to 2.26 (according to every program i have)
and another it made my notebook say i have 5 gigs of ram instead of 4 (confirmed by PC wizard, CPU-Z, system props, and manager)
    third notebook, no change.

Strange. The newest bios F.09 A updates the 9600 bios to the same version as the last release, F.07 A. So why's it needed then? F.07 A adds C6 and VT support, which appears in my bios, so I assume my dv5t came with at least F.07 A, rather than the initial F.05 bios. So why would anyone want to upgrade? Sadly HP doesn't provide much info on F.09 if there are other fixes.
