    Hello all!

Recently, I looked at HP's SMB site and it seems that they're offering e-coupons just like Lenovo, which makes their product slightly less expensive than usual. What is so special about their CTO laptops? Their preconfigs are limited, and with CTO pricing goes like this: Lenovo (cheapest) < Dell < HP.

Why would HP purposefully want to kill their SMB CTO segment? (inputs? personal experience?) I have talked to SMB tech support and it's nice to talk to someone within the country though. (both times they were based in colorado)

Different business model. HP manages to lower their costs by selling as many preconfigured units as they can, hence preconfigured units are much cheaper than CTO units. However, CTO units are much cheaper for corporate clients on volume purchases, many costing only 50-60% of the retail price.
