Has dv600/6500 ever been available with higher res than 1280x800?

The dv6700t Special Edition is very appealing to me, but I'm disappointed that HP only offers the dv6700-line with the basic 1280x800 resolution display. All the other big players offer at least an upgrade to 1440x900 and some even a second upgrade to 1680x1050. The tx2000, dv2700/2800t and dv6700t/z all have just the one standard display 'option'.

Has HP ever offered an upgraded display option on the dv6000/6500/6700? HP is so configuration-friendly in just about every other hardware spec, I'm a little puzzled by the lack of display choices.....

The last time HP offered higher res screens AFAIK with the consumer 15" based laptops was a few years ago back around 2004 with the zv5000 series. All 15" consumer notebooks after that were all WXGA only.
