In my home, we got 3 Dell, 2 acer and 2 compaq. NONE of other NB got problem what so ever except this 2 compaq. How does compaq manage do provide us customer with the most crappy Conexant audio driver. I'm totally pissed of and will never buy compaq again. First, finding the driver at compaq website is a pain in the a**, then after a painful install (which is we must do a manual install, update driver in hardware manager) because this garbage won't install automatically, the sound level won't stay at previous level after restart. WTF? Every time after restart i have to adjust the sound again so it didn't scream like a pack of baboons on the tree.
I can't really understand why hp decide to equip our NB with SATA drive but expect us to install the SATA driver using a floppy disk. Do we have to buy a external floppy just because we want to use the SATA drive? Or is it just for showoff only where hp can say that they give us customer a SATA drive? Please provide us the driver, pls, pls. Don't you HP didn't have any shame at all when I have to download a SATA driver from IBM so I can install your SATA driver from windows? HP don't even have a SATA driver that can be install from windows! WTH? The CS gladly say that if you don't have floppy drive, there no way to install the SATA driver! Crap.
Sorry HP, no more HP/Compaq allowed in our home.![]()
