Hi all. Well I finally got my Hauppauge tv tuner card after 10 months. Now the problem is that I have installed it and everything is fine. The only problem is that it’s a Usb analog tv tuner card I have a dish tv that sends out digital signals though the set top box has a port for analog output also. I purchased a rf cable and tried scanning on my pc for channels nothing came up. So I tried manually..by setting the frequency to 5400 I saw channels on my pc but there is not clarity.. I did try few more frequency up and down nothing.. how can I have crystal clear clarity.. there’s a lot of snow in pc viewing than my tv.

Can you help me bit here….

here a link to hp website from where i got my tv tuner card.

That is wear, I got the Pinacle hd USB stick, it is about or the same as yours but different brand and design. So far I have only used with the factory antena, I get 1 HD, 2 Digital, and the 3 RF that I get are not good. I have not tried using cable yet since I don't have in the apartment that I am subletting for the summer. I have tried using the hp quick play and the Nero Tv softwares and both just did not work.

I guess it will be better if some one else with the same tv tuner, help you out.
Or try calling customer support and see if they can help you.

Try messing with these options in the pull down menu...

You'll probably need one of the two cable settings. You may also still have to use your set-top box to change channels though...I'm not familiar with your provider, but I hope this helps.

If you are connecting to the analog RF(coax) port on the back of the dishnet receiver then that port outputs all on a single channel. usually channel 3 or 4.

Go into your tuner software an select antenna and do a scan and it should pick up this channel clearly. If the output is not clear try changing rf output channel on dishnet receiver to another channel.

You will still have to use your Dishnet receiver to change channels.
