    Hey guys,

I followed the 99.9% working AMD guide (although I had to do a lot of edits not mentioned), and I managed to get everything working for my laptop under Windows XP, except for two things.

Firstly, my audio drivers are installed and my speakers work, but my headphone jack does not... If you plug headphones into it, no sound comes out of the headphones, and sound continues to come out of the speakers.

Secondly... Albeit minor, I cannot adjust my display brightness without lowering the contrast in the nVidia Control Panel.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I believe that is a known issue with regards to the drivers in XP for these systems and not sure if there is a solution yet. You might want to try different versions of the driver and see if that helps.

As far as the LCD brightness is concerned, have you installed the Quicklaunch/Quicktouch buttons software. If I recall correctly, this software controls the Fn functions on the keyboard.

If you go to XP you will definately loose sound function, either the headphone jack or no mic at all or maybe even both

For the brightness as miner said, the right version of the Quick launch buttons should fix it

The vista drivers for the Quick launch buttons should work in XP

I ended up having to re-install XP because I screwed up my boot partition while fiddling with tri-booting my laptop.

After re-installing XP, I never installed any form of Quick Launch drivers, just Service Pack 2, and all of my Quick Launch keys and function keys (including brightness) are now working beautifully.

Hope this helps someone in the future, and thanks for the help guys!
