Hello, I purchased an HP Envy 17-3200 a few months ago. I also upgraded to windows 8 about a month ago. I am currently trying to move everything from the HDD that came with the laptop to a 256gb Samsumg 830 SSD that I recently bought. I've run into a few issues, and am not sure what to do. I have been following this guide: How to Migrate to a Solid-State Drive Without Reinstalling Windows.
When migrating to my SSD using the EaseUS Partition Manager, I saw that there were 4 partitions on my HDD: *:SYSTEM, C:, D: Recovery, and *:HP_TOOLS. Not knowing whether or not these were necessary, I just moved them all onto the SSD. The results has been that the main partition for my SSD has only 124.36GB of memory. I attached screenshots from My Computer and from EaseUS Partition Manager if it helps. my_computer.png partitions.png . I'm pretty limited in my knowledge of computers, so I was wondering if these extra partitions are necessary. If they are, is there a way for me to allot a majority of the memory to the main partition, and if they aren't necessary, how can I get rid of them?
Also, I tried following the instructions to make the computer boot from the SSD. In the BIOS page, I moved the USB Hard Disk option to the top (wasn't sure if this meant the SSD or not). However, if I remove my HDD, I get a blue screen saying that I am missing hardware. The same thing happens if I swap the drives bays (currently the HDD is in the main drive bay). I would like to be able to only use the SSD, since I'm able to fit all of my necessary files on it and I only have one caddy. Does anyone know how I can be sure that Windows is booting from the SSD so I don't need to have the HDD in the computer anymore?
    Thank you!
