    Headphone problem (hp dv6tqe)

    When i plug in the headphones in either of the 2 ports. The sound does not come out from the headphones. But the sound from the laptop speakers countinue to play but are quiter

    I had this problem once, but a restart fixed it and I haven't seen it since.

    Have you tried other headsets? Also as the Dr. has said, push harder!

    I restarted once, and it did not work. Then i did it again. And now it works, thanks, hopefully it wont happen again

    I had this problem and disabling communications headphones in the sound settings seemed to fix it for me.

    What exatly is the communciation headphones? I don't really understand the sound control option. When you access the mixer you have what like two mixers...one for the overall sounds it seems and another one for the communication headphones...
