    Hello all,

I have a DV4T, 3.53 GHz with W7. The problem is that a lot of the time, when I connect headphones (or speakers) to the front jack my computer becomes incapable of playing ANY sound or video on ANY program.

Does this happen to anyone else??

Edit: I went into the "Sound devices manager", and it shows that the computer detects my earphones and is sending sound, but it is not coming out. The earphones work fine with my iPod, so the problem is not them.

My guess is that you have a bad audio board. Talk to HP to get it fixed under warranty.
