    Hello ...

I'm wondering if there is a recommended temperature range for the CPU and the HD in dv6236us ... ... i downloaded a software that messaures the HD temp .. it tells that HD temp. is 55 celsius .. and somtimes it's 49 celsius...

so when should i be concerned about the matter of laptop heat ???

    Thank you.

55c is usually the max for a HD. But if you find the model and maker of your drive you can look it up on the internet to be certian. As for the cpu, critical range is 90c-100c depending. You can also look it up on intel or AMDs website depending on which you have. Just find the model of you CPU and do a search for teh tech specs on those sites. But more often than not its 55c critical for HD and 90c critical for CPU.

havent u read the threads about the F25 BIOS? the fan runs less so it makes the laptop run hotter. everyone is finding issues with the hdd temp especially.

    What software are you using?

From my experience especially with laptops, temp-reading software can have trouble giving accurate readings. HD tune and RM clock seem to be good though (and speedfan is sometimes waaay off)
