Ok. First I have a HP Livestrong L2000 notebook. It randomly turns off. Its not caused by running one power source over another. Its not faulty RAM modules. Its not processor overheat. Its not windows, as I keep my system running in tip-top shape. I dont knwo what to do, any advice would be helpful. This makes the fourth time I have typed this as my computer would keep turning off.

Give us some more info. How did you check the memory (memtest86+)? What's the temperature of the CPU and the HDD? My l2000 used to shutdown when the HDD overheated (55*C) and this is why I got a cooler for the summer.

i had spontaneous shutdown problems with my old Clevo, which ended up being due to bad memory. memtest86+ indicated that there was nothing wrong with the memory, but getting new memory fixed the problem.

also, the laptop wouldn't start up, hanging during boot right before the memory check. reseating the memory helped it boot, but the spontaneous shutdown would occur within a few minutes.

How long have you had this laptop? If it is still under warranty I would send it back to HP and have them fix it for you.

I know it is a pain to have to send it back but that is probably about your only choice at this point. Hopefully they will return it to you very quickly. Good luck!
