I ordered from HP on August 7th and my estimated ship date is August 16th. My product is still in production. I chose the standard 5 - 7 days shipping. Do you think my laptop would be in my hands by August 16th even if it's still "in production" now? If not, I'll have a problem because no one would be able to pick up my laptop the following week. HP won't let me change shipping address, but can I call the delivery company to do so? :(

My guess is since HP uses Fedex with signature verification, Fedex will hold you package for a period of time after being unable to deliver it. You can try calling Fedex about it after the laptop has been shipped, but beyond that all I can say is you should have thought about it when you ordered.

PS: if HP won't let you change the shipping address then maybe ask if they can upgrade to next day or 2 day shipping if you pay for it? HP has been known to ship out their laptops a few days early sometimes.

Well, it shipped TODAY. What is the possibility that I will get it this week if I chose 5 - 7 day ground? :D

Shipping Ground usually takes 3-5 days, not counting weekends.

You will get it. The fedex guy woke me up this morning. I wasn't expecting him to Wednesday.
