I recently Purchased COD 4 from Direct2Drive and it works. However, when I go to open it, it says userenv.dll not found, I hit OK, same message comes up again like 7 times, after i press OK for all of them, the game opens and all is well. What is this and how can I fix this? Please any help is much appreciated!

If I were you I would put in a ticket with Direct2Drive for some help... otherwise if you can find where that dll would be (folder wise) I am sure you can download that particular dll for free somewhere quit easily...
I would ask D2D first though. >.< -

D2D said they can't help me b/c once it is installed all problems after that don't necceseraly pertain to them. Any other suggestions???

It looks like userenv.dll is available for download... just Googled it:
http://www.dll-files.com/dllindex/dll-files.shtml?userenv
I'm not sure where this file belongs, though. I've run into this issue with other games before, and the solution of getting the file yourself and putting it in the right directory doesn't always work.
You can also try the long way by DLing an ISO of CoD4 off the torrents and getting the DLL. Of course, I didn't just tell you that. -
downloaded it, don't know where to put it... don't know what to do with a torrent download, would that tell me where the dll file should go???

ok... so either you can go through your COD4 folders until you find it, or just try searching for it in Windows. Place the file in there, and you'll need to restart your computer to make it work (I know this to be true with Vista... not sure about XP but it wouldn't hurt).

Ok fixed it... I found the file in Wow64 and copyed it, then put it in the COD 4 program files folder and waa la, THANKS FOR THE HELP!
