This is such a horribly embaressing story. So i was moving it from my computer desk to my bed, all the while trying to keep my totally brand new pavilion from getting tangled. i had i raised up so i wouldnt trip on the wires or anything like that, and low and behold i totally forgot about the ceiling fan i was walking under...so it beat the heck outa my screen, and now i have these brown marks on my screen..im not sure if they would be dead pixels, i really have no idea. i have a warranty, but i just got this thing and i would rather not send it back if i could possibly fix it myself and save the hassle. Is there anything i can do to fix this, like a program or something?? please give me some advice.... :p

I doubt there's any program that can fix a broken screen. To fix your laptop, you would probably have to open it up; however, that will void your warranty. It'd be best to call up HP and send it in.

yes i agree in the above mentioned, its a hardware fault now,no software in the world could fix this one and must give it back as soon as possible, the earlier you give it back the sooner youll get it back fixed already...........
dont waste your time fixing it manually coz it will surely void its warranty, thus never getting it fixed for free.........

Yep, send it in. There's no way around it unless you want to waste money.

Now can you tell that the screen was physically damaged? If so, the only way HP will fix it is if you have the accidental warranty coverage. If you can't tell that the screen was hit by something and there are no marks, then make sure you don't tell them that the fan hit it and it just started doing it out of the blue.
