So after I got my laptop, the initial day I used it, the battery lasted something like 3 hours and 40ish minutes, but now it lasts closer to 2 hours and 30ish minutes. Where'd my extra hour go? The discharge rate according to batterybar is 20,000 mW - isnt this kinda high?

I saw a post in another thread with someone using batterybar on their core i5 dv6t, but the guy only had a discharge rate of -8000 mW.

Is there anything wrong with my battery? Or is it my computer? I'm running on integrated graphics only doing light web browsing.

And another thing - has anybody had the issue of their graphics not switching? When you right click the desktop and click "configure switchable graphics", the button depresses, but nothing happens? I'm not sure whats going on - but maybe its a driver issue or something? Anyone want to help me?

I just installed this program and I get around 20,000 discharge rate also. I have an HP DV4 with integrated graphics. I don't know much about batteries but can't things like screen brightness, you power plan, and other things affect the discharge rate? My screen is at full brightness and I am using the HP recommended power plan.

Maybe try the lowest screen brightness, the "power saver" option in windows, and make sure your 'light' web browsing truly is light(no flash/java). I've heard that some people have issues changing to integrated graphics when programs are open so perhaps check to see that it does switch?

Are you sure that you are running on integrated graphics? Go the the Device Manager and see what is listed under Display Adapter.
