Screen all of a sudden stopped working.

The laptop will power on, and I hear the Win7 boot up sound, but the screen won't come on.

It will be black for a bit, then it'll go all white for a second, back to black, then it'll go white again for maybe 10-15 seconds.

Then it will go black again and that's all it does.

Anyone have any idea? This screen was perfect up until recently. No issues or anything.

Please help, and thank you in advance.

So nothing, not even a BIOS logo?
Did you try booting while connected to a secondary monitor?
    Did you drop/spill/damage it?

    No BIOS logo or nothing.

Have not dropped, spilled, or damaged it.

As far as the second monitor, I have not tried that, but I'll try HDMI out to my TV right now to check to see if that works. If that works, at least I know then my video card is ok?

    Thanks!

Try that, it could just be the monitor or the connector.

Just tried it out and it does work when displaying through HDMI. So this rules out that at least the video card is fine I think?

Really not sure what to do at this point. I'm out of warranty, and the screen is bad? Or a connection to the screen went bad? Screen displays all white so the screen still looks great, no dead pixels, it just isn't displaying anything.

If it works then there are two things that could be wrong.
    1. The connection: Check if its ripped or kinked and check that it is properly plugged in
    2. the LCD: Check if any of the connections on its side are bent or broken.
