I own a HP dv6000us series laptop. Its about a year old. AMD Turion x2 TL 52. Won't turn on. Speakers failed 2 weeks before the computer stopped functioning. The touch sensitive media buttons power up but i cant get to OS. I opened it up and noticed that the speakers and the power switch are on the same chip. Those buttons werent. Could it be that chip (not sure what its called)? HELP ANYONE!!!!

Send it to service. There's not much you can do.

Did you try put bootable CD/DVD disk like Windows OS or recovery disk in CD/DVD drive and see if it boots? If it works, then your hard drive may have failed. If it does not work, then either have your laptop serviced or replaced.
