Hey guys! I have a question, I don't know how I missed this for this long time
    :/

do you guys have nvidia HDMI Audio in your Control Panel-> Sound-> Playback Devices? , because I don't and I haven't since day one, installing nvidia drivers doesn't help, in fact the latest 260.89 drivers actually removed drivers for IDT Audio for some reason and I don't have audio at all with those so I had to reinstall previous drivers, see, the problem is I never had nvidia HDMI audio in playback devices, they are in device manager but not there, how do you guys get audio through HDMI then? because I can't, I assume you guys have HDMI audio in playback devices and I think my lappy is faulty or something, please help ;_; .

The NVIDIA HDMI Audio device is also not listed in the Playback Devices on my end. But everything else seems to be working still. :)

Just for a clean install, try uninstalling all the audio drivers from your system through Programs and Features. Then, install the NVIDIA HDMI Audio drivers (1.1.9.0 from version 260.99) and then the IDT Audio Codec (version 6289 or higher drivers) using the provided setup wizards. Additional system restarts might be required.

@justikw1 Do you use Digital Audio via HP dock for HDMI audio output? I mean, I need to set that device as default playback if I want audio out of HDMI jack then? correct? I will test it today, fingers crossed :| .
