    Hi folks,

I recently installed Vista Home Premium on my dv8000t (system in sig). Had a fit getting my sound to work right, but now that it's fixed, everything seems to be going ok, until I tried to connect to the internet (wireless). I've never had any problems under XP, but in Vista I get super slow downloads. My browsing speed isn't too terribly slow, but when I download a file, the best I can get is around 28-30kps. Normal d/l speeds for me are 200-400kps.

I do have the most recent driver for my wireless card (Intel Pro 3945), just downloaded it today... did not fix my problem. I have no virus protection installed, windows firewall is off, router firewall is off. Can anyone help out with this please? Driving me nuts.

    Thanks!
    -Wintery

yeah, it happened to me sometimes, still don't know why. sometimes my download speed was up to 2MB per second, but sometimes it was down to 25-30 kbps, even worse.

Mine never gets above 30kps. Even with a good strong wireless signal.

My first post says "do have the most recent driver for my wireless card (Intel Pro 3945), just downloaded it today".

    Any other suggestions?

I think it depends on which site you download files from, try to download from other sites and see how it goes, by the way, do you share internet connection with other machines in your house?
