hey guys, just got a new hp pav dv2000 series 14.1 2 gb ram, core 2 duo 2.0 ghz notebook.

was working fine for about a month, but now it freezes at a blue screen. the blue screen im talking about is from right after the black screen with the green loading bar, underneath says microsoft corperation. i can move my cursor but thats it, ctrl alt delete, esc, alt f4, nothing works. i tried pushing f11 the moment the computer boots no luck. made a recovery disc, no luck with that either... someone help? anyone know of this problem? thanks

have you tried booting into safe mode
don't buy the discs from them because they are no different than the discs you burn yourself

I agree with v3loc1ty2.0, try entering safe mode when you boot up to see if boots up. As the pc boots keep hitting F8 and it should give you the option to boot in safe mode. If it does boot up the problem is OS related so a clean install may be required. If you have a vista anywhere cd you can also try putting in the CD and boot up, when prompted select 'Repair Current Install' or you can just go for the clean install (Check the sticky at the top of this section of the forum).
