I bought a Compaq Presario F731AU Laptop 6 months ago and it is working fine until last week ...
Since Last week, I cannot access my DVD Drive ...
It appears in explorer and it is detected by Vista (32-bit) in device manager as Optiarc DVD-RW AD-7530B ATA Device ...
The problem is I cannot eject the drive and insert any CD ... When I choose eject from Explorer "An error occured ejecting drive E:" and I cannot eject by using physical button on cd-drive ...
OS detects the DVD drive and I can see it in explorer but I cannot access it :(
    is it Hardware error?
Do you think Updating BIOS (current WinFlash F.05 to F.08 ) will fix the problem?
    Help !!!!

You should contact HP Compaq and see if they will replace it under warranty. But before that, you should see if there is any firmware updates for your drive.

That's a physical hardware issue. Contact HP and they can send you a new drive.
