I have an HP DV7 that keeps going through batteries. The newest battery worked for a few weeks and then died last night. This is now the 2nd battery in roughly a month that has died on me. Why do the batteries keep going bad? When the computer is plugged in it works fine but when its unplugged it dies right away. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Does the batter indicator show that the battery is charging when the laptop is plugged in? If the battery has a charge it sounds like the connector on the laptop might be bad.

It says it is fully charged. I did the hp battery check and it said the battery was bad and needed to be replaced.
