    Basically need some opinions.

does the DV9500t have great screens? i mean not grainy, and is 1680x1050 enough or should i wait until HP has 1920 out?

how does the 8600m GS 511 compare to 256 of 8600gt?

any noticable problems for ur DV9500t? Cause i am hesitant on dell because of many threads stating problems with their system.

how's hp's support compare to dell's? are the support people from different countries?

Thankyou. I have been stuck picking a notebook for 2 weeks so any help is appreciated.

i would definitely pick the dell 1720 due to the superior graphics card and WUXGA screen, not to mention price.

Right now dell is a no brainer IMO.

HP's screens are top-notch. There's no grain and brightness and color are perfect. I've had my 9500t for about a month 1/2 and there has been no hardware problems at all. The only problems have come from Vista, which you will get with both laptops your looking at.
I havent tested my graphics card yet (the only game i have is Halo:CE :() but isnt the 8600GS GDDR3 and the GT GDDR2? Im probably completely wrong on that assumption.
It my opinion get the 9500t, its a good laptop. And its cheaper :)

download rivatuner and it will tell you if your GS is DDR2 or 3. the GT also comes in 2 or 3 and it's the choice of the laptop maker which they will use.

if u want graphics power, the dell is better, overall quality is on the HPs side.

1720 if you want performance with the 8600m gt and if you want something fancy then the 9500t.. beauty or brains

I disagree that Hp's quality is better... Dell's chassis are mag alloy..think that HPs are plastic mostly.. also since the Hp's are thinner .. they run hotter...
