what do u mean by quickplay? is this quickplay when running windows or the type of quickplay that u can use by just pressing the buttons above the keyboard when the laptop is off?

if its the first then search in the forum, there are links for quickplay downloads

if its the second then did ur laptop come with XP or Vista?

did u install XP from a seperate Windows CD or from the system recovery program on ur laptop?

that quickplay is a seperate hidden partition on the hard drive, did u repartition the drive when u installed XP? i think if the partition is not there then im not sure if theres a way to recover it. In XP open computer management and click on disk management. check your drive, does it have an unknown partition at the end (there should be an HP recovery partition and another unnamed one next to it) if these are there then it should work.

i created a partition when i install xp.it was unknown but i did unformatted it with partition magic program.i mean 1 gb unformatted partition on my harddrive is ready now.should it be unallocated?as i know there must be 1 gb unformatted partition on harddrive to install quickplay.

Ok u arent being clear. so u deleted all the partitions on the drive when u installed XP? so basically you have removed all the pre-installed partitions? if u had the recovery disc u cud just simply return everything to its original place but it may not be possible now. the quickplay partition is quite large 1gb or more and not much free space on it. you will probably either need the recovery discs/partition or try searching the forums for a solution.

thats probably your only solution if u did that. you shouldnt have done such a thing if u wanted to keep quickplay
